New treaty to ban space based weapons

As if the predominant dark thoughts of our present governments world-wide could direct some outside-of-earth-and-local-dimension-and-other-timely entity with far greater intelligence and wisdom!! I mean the thought is laughable.

Is this a joke, or another preliminary step towards Disclosure? Given they existed at all, how the hell could we prevent them from doing anything they wanted? Wouldn't a space weapons ban with them only make sense if they were 'at the table' too? The only reality here is, we are trying to save face by declaring we can't stop an advanced alien civilizations boy scout group from handing us our butts not because we technologically suck, but because we choose to have our butts handed to us.
