Ancient giant rabbit fossil discovered

The remains of a giant species of rabbit six times the size of today's rabbits has been discovered.
Its discovery on the island of Minorca has earned it the name "Minorcan king of the rabbits". The giant rabbit would have lived 3 to 5 million years ago and weighed 26 pounds but wouldn't have been able to hop like its modern day counterparts.
The giant probably also had poor hearing and vision, with relatively small eye sockets and internal ear parts. Its senses likely deteriorated for the same reason it got so large — it did not have predators to worry about.

Am wondering what size the magicians were who pulled these rabbits from their hats.

They look more like, no, not Chupacabras, what's the word, Capybaras, that's it, on account of lacking the long Ears that are a characteristic or your typical Rabbit. Probably because there weren't so many predators in those days.

Am wondering what size the magicians were who pulled these rabbits from their hats. A 30 foot tall man who's job is doing magic tricks at children's birthday parties is a terrifying concept.

Nothing beats the carnivorous kangaroo discovered not too long ago. Still, this is a great find.

When I heard "Gigantic Bunny", I imagined it to be a lot more adorable. By way of a small anecdote I remember a large bunny chasing me about trying hard to bite my legs and feet. They can be very territorial and down right belligerent.
