What started out as an innocent yawn turned in to a painful ordeal and a trip to the emergancy room.
17-year-old Holly Thompson was in class when she let out a yawn and found she was unable to close her mouth again because her jaw had dislocated and was locked open. "All my classmates and teachers thought it was really funny, everyone burst out laughing. It was awful," she said.
Politics does not have a reputation for being the most fascinating of subjects. But one teenager yawned so deeply during a class on the topic that her mouth got stuck wide open and she had to be taken to hospital.

And this is news? Apparently not many have spent much time in the ER. Nobody's ever heard of TMJ? This isn't that uncommon. And then you ask yourself, why was this sensationalized?
When I was in high school, this happened to someone during my math class. It was kind of funny though because the guy was super annoying and the teacher had to tell him to shut up all the time. So he was sitting there rambling away and then all of a sudden he couldn't move his mouth.
