John Edwards believes that he saw Jesus and the city of light while lying in an emergancy room.
Edwards had been driving along when his car was flipped over in an accident, pinning him underneath it. After being taken to hospital he vividly recalls a spiritual out-of-body-experience in which he claims he saw Jesus, a story that he's kept to himself for over 45 years.
A man claims he had an out-of-body experience and met Jesus after nearly dying in a car accident. John Edwards says he saw the 'city of light' while in the emergency room at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Arizona.

Sure it does . I'm not saying I think it was Christ himself either. If you can see/experience god while in an NDE and you happen to beleive that Christ is god, you may verywell see a Christ like figure. And I gues you'd be half right. I happen to beleive is spiritual unity. So Christ would be god..... But no more or less than you or I. Possibly he was just more aware of it. Way I see it is.. if you see a figure during your experience.. and no one says this is God.. then all you have is your own assumption.. He is free to assume it was Jesus if he feels it is right, but in no way do I or anyone... [More]

Seeker, you have the most accurate discussion of all. And interpretation is the greatest of the hindrances to these experiences because we have no experience nor common vocabulary by which to express these unusual events in our lives. People say they go through a tunnel, when they just never have been around an advancing light in the middle of an infinite darkness. A tunnel is the closest thing to describe it. People like Packard say, "There is no one out there but me." because he wasn't there long enough to encounter anyone else. Etc. I describe what I saw objectively, then state what I would... [More]

Way I see it is.. if you see a figure during your experience.. and no one says this is God.. then all you have is your own assumption.. He is free to assume it was Jesus if he feels it is right, but in no way do I or anyone else should jump to the same assumption and say - Oh I think you are correct. ... So I stick with my posts...I don't have to believe he saw Jesus....I notice the sec I believe in another NDE experience, no one says diddly.. but the sec I say I don't WHOOHAA stand back BM what did you say?.... I can make up my OWN mind..Nothing more can be said.. BTW I do not believe Christ ... [More]

I saw jesus in a taco... I saw him in a Taco Bell... He was a Latino dude... and really hungry... I once looked at a stained glass nativity scene and told the pastor of out church that if you look at that window in just the right way and just the right lighting you can see Mary in it! He said I was hopeless! Now they are seeing Jesus in paper towels. In the earlier discussion about painting of Jesus, I was surprised I didn't notice anybody mention that Jesus has the appearance of the race of the painter. I have seen very few rendering of Jesus with the features of an Israelite. Your purple evi... [More]

Honestly BM I did not put that much attachment to it. I just thought that being Somone who has some experiences In aktered states might shed a little light on the understanding of how I have come to see how these things work, Skeptics in general use the inconsistency of altered states experiences to invalidate them. If you believe in Jesus and have an NDE, see a figure but can't be sure what it is.. then jump to an assumption it is Jesus, that person will think and believe it was Jesus... I understand it... But What I am saying is.. just because someone thinks and assumes it is, does not in an... [More]

But What I am saying is.. just because someone thinks and assumes it is, does not in any way mean it really was... The figure could have been a number of beings... That is my point... And you do not need to be an expert to work that one out..!!!! Skeptics can have the same experience but in many way can assume it was something other than Jesus... Truth in the end of ALL NDE's is - They cannot be proven... [More]

I appreciate your question.... Fact is.. not every NDE points to seeing Jesus.. I have read many NDE stories that don't mention Jesus... Reading this one, he could not make out the figure before him, so he assumed it was Jesus... Calling it a gut feeling doesn't mean it was for a fact Jesus.. We have had gut feelings in the past and not all proved to us we were right... From the OP article.. it reads.... Waiting for someone to arrive.. but never said who that was.. and Mr Edwards could not make out the face because of the bright light.. so he then assumed it was Jesus.. But again that does not... Read the book. Then say, "It can't be proven!" A person without bias would have a hard time challenging the logic. I am not going to buy any book.....and if the book is your own, do not try and get me to buy your product.. ( I said IF it is your own) ............It cannot ever be proven because it is a personal experience that belongs to the person having it Personally anyone trying to make money from it is too much....I never respect anyone that does that... Genuine people will share their experiences and not seek approvals or money from it.. that is how I view them as a WHOLE
