Questions arose after Leicester City Council was asked to release its zombie invasion plans.
Robert Ainsley lodged a formal query via the Freedom of Information Act asking the council to release details of provisions in place in the event of a zombie apocalypse. "Having watched several films it is clear that preparation for such an event is poor and one that councils throughout the kingdom must prepare for," he wrote.
Leicester City Council has 20 working days to answer but its head of information governance, Lynn Wyeth, took to local radio yesterday to address the issue. She said: "We've had a few wacky ones but this one did make us laugh. "
