Sheep found stuck on roof of house

The fire brigade were called in Wales to rescue a sheep that had ended up on the roof of a house.
"I was sitting in my lounge watching television when suddenly I could hear a noise out in the street. When I went outside and was facing the front of my house, I looked up towards the roof and there was a sheep standing there," says home owner Claire Walters. It appears the sheep managed to climb up on to a garage further up the terrace and made its way to the rooftops from there.
This is the bizarre moment two fire engines were called to rescue a sheep - which was stuck on the roof of a house. Stunned residents dialled 999 after the creature was spotted scrambling across roof tiles in the remote village of Pontycymer, South Wales.

OH MAN! I can't find it on-line, but there was a case in the UK (Newcastle I think) where a pigeon was on a house roof for nearly a full day, so they got the fire brigade round and they put the ladders up and once the fireman got onto the roof the pigeon took off. It's how dumb we spend tax money over here!!!! (was about 10yrs ago)

They could do with a Large Animal Rescue appliance round here. Nearly every week they're pulling a horse out of a marsh or a cow out of somewhere. Just the other week it was a Wallaby. It was eventually wrestled to the ground by the Fire Chief. All of this is true.

We get called to rescue all kinds of critters...as long as we don't have any other calls that are of the life threatening nature than we do what we can to try and help the people of our area...even if those people are four legged and furry. In my career I have rescued cats, dogs, fish, frogs, hamsters... animals have become very much a part of peoples families, and whether it is a fire, or natural disaster, we do what we can to help the four legged family members too.

"It was running back and forward on the roof, but eventually it must have realised how many firefighters were there trying to get it down. So it thought, I'd better come down now. LOL! Maybe the sheep is actually an alien?

Sheep are pretty good climbers as they must be related to goats - which are good climbers - like mountain goats. Okay.

That's awesome. If only more people had that sense of responsibility and morality, the world would be less grim.
