The UFO Phenomenon

Were Washington UFOs caused by weather ?

Back in July 1952 a wave of sightings over Washington D.C. gripped the nation's imaginations.
At the time the objects caused great concern as some were sighted over the White House, but Looking back on the incident now could there have been a more conventional explanation ? Some believe that the weather, rather than aliens, was to blame.
Sixty years ago, America was shaken by a wave of UFO sightings in Washington, DC. Some appeared over the White House itself: were these extra-terrestrials preparing to land, or did the lights in the sky have something to do with the weather?

If you check the footnotes you will see that traditionally Trillian Ale was served with ectothermes and has only recently gained popularity as a compliment to mammal; probably because of the "greasy" nature of mammal meat and the ability of a good Trillian ale to cleanse the palate. I also disagree with the suggestion of ingesting Tums with the ale. It would be rather like pop-rocks and Coke. And as we all know that never turns out well.

HellKitties I'm in agreement, but after years of serious study on the subject I have come to the conclusion that there is some sort of 'Non-Interference' policy (or prime directive) in play. The greatest example of this in my view (outside of the flyby over Washington, which was certainly not a weather event...) is the Battle of Los Angeles event from February of 1942. I did a ton of research on that event over on the ATS boards a while back under the name: WitnessFromAfar. For those who are not familiar with the case, a large unidentified flying object was spotted on radar out about 300 miles... [More]

I wonder if they gathered any data to support their decision to make a contact in the middle of a world wide tribal conflict, lol. I'll never believe when people say aliens don't care about us because we are like ants to them. We study ants. I'm almost positive when we make our first trek into the rift that any and all life we encounter will always be of interest to us no matter how advanced we become. I'd like to think if an intelligent species encountered us, they'd want to know all about us too

There's many things we have yet to see that the weather can do. Remember that mirage in China? Link in UM news: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/viewnews.php?id=69184 Perhaps a lot of UFOs can be explained this way. that city mirage is pretty impressive! And I've seen a lot cool cloud stuff, living near the coast during storms etc.

No....this is not wheather....if you see the film on this and conclude this is wheather you need not to be in any position to offer "any" opinion.

Maybe after the greatest interference ever, altering the gentic structure of humans, it was decided that non-intereference would be best....until the time is right.

I smell govt spin & lies & fud. 1st why are airforce majors even concerned about this after 60 years? Is disclosure coming and they are back at the propaganda? we have photos' from the ground, pilot sightings, radar contact and multiple witness,Objects disappearing only returning when the planes left. I guess its was just hot and cold air they say. The federal govt has as much credibility on ufo's as it does on marijuana.

Yeah, because weather anomalies always fly in formation.
