Pregnant woman eats furniture polish

Many cravings are not random. It seems an unlikely source but there may be some chemical in the polish which her body needs. The only way one would have a craving for polish due to a required chemical is if the woman had a more direct contact (ate, sniffed, rubbed)with polish earlier on in life, prior to her pregnancy. Otherwise, how would a body crave something that was never introduced before?

I wonder what mineral/ vitamin shes needs. You seem to be the only one here to pick up on this.. It is a fact that no matter how strange the craving is.. whether it be coal or polish.. there is a mineral in it that the pregnant women will crave and not understand why she craves it I craved baked beans when pregnant for a while..They contained folic acid.. my body was looking the folic acid.. and so I then bought the pills of pure folic acid..

They may never know what kind of damage that has been done to the unborn child until the child starts to develop normaly or abnormaly, mentaly and physicaly . She ate three cans of chemicals. If I know anything about childbirth, that baby is going to come out shiny as hell. Better make sure she uses coasters on it.

If the problem is due to the mother missing a certain mineral, shouldn't it be possible to idenitfy that mineral and synthesise or isolate that mineral in a way that can be ingested safely? Just thinking out loud, putting a serious tone into a story so strange it's hilarious (except for the baby if it gets hurt by this).
