1,500 pairs of auto-lacing shoes like those in Back to the Future have been put up for auction by Nike.
The iconic shoes that were worn in the films by Marty McFly in 2015 have been faithfully recreated complete with glowing name label. The money raised from the auction will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's disease research.
Nike says it has created a limited-edition shoe based on a glowing pair that appeared in the popular 1989 movie "Back to the Future II. ’" The 2011 Nike Mag is designed to be an exact replica of the fictional sneaker, including a glowing Nike name on the strap, Nike said yesterday.

Undoubtedly made by slave labor in Indonesia for about thirty-five cents a par, and sold to brain-dean Americans for over a hundred bucks. Capitalism at its finest.

A lot of today's shoes are similar to that variation.

Unrestricted capitalism at it's finest. Capitalism needs better laws and more oversight. Reduce corporate taxes and throw some serious fines around for outsourcing.

That totally kicks butt... not the fact that they made the shoes, but the fact that Nike is donating all proceeds to the Michael J. Fox foundation. I'll be waiting for the double tie... Hear, hear...

Hear, hear... At least the autopower laces would make it easier for them...it's probably hard to tie your shoes when your arms and hands move around so much.
