During the reign of King George V, Edgar Codling wrote down a series of predictions about the future.
The 12-year-old predicted that by the year 2000, planes would be as common as cars, bicycles would be cheap, that there would a boom in leisure travel and that there would also be an increase in affordable newspapers. While these may not seem like huge leaps in forethought, for a 12-year-old almost one hundred years ago the predictions were exceedingly accurate.
