The unmanned module will later join with another module to test docking procedures in space.
It is another step towards China's goal of constructing a fully manned station in space called "Heavenly Palace" within the next few years. If all goes well the Chinese Space Agency will have come a long way towards equalling the manned space flight capabilities of the US and Russian space programs.
China will launch an experimental craft next week to pave the way for its first space station, an official said on Tuesday. The launch would bring the growing Asian power closer to matching the United States and Russia with a long-term manned outpost in space.

Liberty consisting of a 5 segment booster and Arian 5 on top, Falcon 9 has allready achieved orbit with a dragon capsule and will be taking stuff to low orbit, Sierra Nevada on top... [More]
