Giant owls preying on cats and dogs

Goodluck tryna kill an owl, they're masters at staying hidden.

Owls attacking dogs and cats is NOT normal. If the owls keep on doing this then clearly something needs to be done. They need to be shot. interesting that just the other day i overheard a couple conservation officers talking to someone about this. from what i heard the guy was commenting on why he doesnt see rabbits hardly at all in the last couple of yrs and the officers said simply raptors. they said that of course their all protected and just recently had a tip on a hunting club that had killed 50 owls over the summer now i know that sounds ridiculous and i think that cant even be a real nu... Personally, I can't blame wild animals from doing things like this. We move into their territory.... Humans - and cats - have to live somewhere too. What do you propose? That we all move to another planet somewhere which is devoid of all wild animals? Humans are animals too, don't forget. And, as land animals, have a right to be able to live anywhere on land that we desire. At the same time we should also be able to let our cats out knowing that they aren't going to be carried away at any time by a big bird.

Culling animals is not necessary ,nature balances populations quite nicely without our help .When you say that I think you mean it's a good idea to control animals that for whatever reason are considered inconvienient or undesirable by humans .To an extent I would go along with that ,I don't want my house over run with ants or flies so I take messures to keep their numbers down (it's not necessary it just makes my life more pleasant) HOWEVER It seems inexcusable to me to advocate shooting a bird of prey because it may or may not pose a danger to your pet .This was done with red kites in wales ... Ha ha ha,Wow,either way you look at it there are no winners here,Cant kill the owl and cant keep the cats indoors.why not trap the owl and have it removed from the area to a new location or a wild life area or zoo and feed it rats,or will the rat lovers complain?

People need to be intelligent and keep small pets indoors. Secondly if an animal is feasting on pets..there is also another concern. Humans. The fact that they can't even hunt normally...is a concern, they should not be coming after pets at first sight they should feasting on rodents/small birds ect. Here in Australia all native wildlife is protected with fines from $10,000 for possessing as little as the feather of a wedgetailed eagle (a common enough bird).
