A builder in the Cotswolds have built a chimney large enough for Father Christmas to fit through.
Leo Paxton started work on the chimney after a local 6-year-old boy wrote to him with concerns over the chimneys being too narrow for Santa to traverse. "I am worried that my mummy's house doesn't have a big enough chimney," wrote Leo Park. "I think Father Christmas will get stuck. Please can you help?" Once the chimney was completed Leo was invited to the unveiling which featured a practical test by lowering a man dressed as Santa down it using a crane.
A young boy’s fears that his new house would not have a chimney big enough to fit Father Christmas has led a Cotswold builder designing one of the world’s first Father Christmas-friendly chimneys.
