Villagers hunt for 'oily man'

Malaysian villagers prowl the streets at night in search of the 'oily man' who is terrorizing them.
According to legend, the orang minyak (oily man) is a male who studies black magic and must rape a certain number of anak dara (virgins) to complete the rite of passage. Most of the households in the Malayan village of Kampung Laksamana have at least one teenage daughter prompting concerns for their safety. When sighted, the orang minyak is said to wear only underwear and be covered completely in oil. He can also jump from rooftop to rooftop with ease and vanish into thin air.While most people would be in deep slumber at 2am, residents of Kampung Laksamana in Gombak were wide awake, roaming up and down Jalan Laksamana 1 in Gombak, Selangor.
