A new structure has been discovered in England that has no typical Roman era building characteristics.
Archaeologists have discovered a Roman era structure in the Norfolk area of England that has no known parallels to any other buildings from that same time period. "Generally speaking, [during] the Roman Empire people built within a fixed repertoire of architectural forms," said professor William Bowden. "What they were trying to achieve by using this design is really very difficult to say."
A recently discovered mysterious "winged" structure in England, which in the Roman period may have been used as a temple, presents a puzzle for archaeologists, who say the building has no known parallels.

Would be interesting to know the prevailing wind direction to determine its effectiveness as a wind break for livestock or agricultural needs. Or, could have been the garage for the chariot ; )

Interesting, so I wonder what made the Romans change their rigid architectural design?

I already explained it, Time Turner. I honestly did read "Tina Turner" when I read your post. And from then on I got...uhmmm... a bit distracted by the images I had in my mind of Tina Turner. OK, and sorry if I caused this thread to derail. Those thighs.....sigh... ,
