Ticket to Mars could someday cost $500,000

SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk is aiming for a future in which tickets to Mars cost $500,000 per person.
Even though a manned mission to Mars is likely still decades away, SpaceX founder Musk is already working on a means with which to bring down the cost of a trip for tourists of the future. One key cost reduction would be to design a spacecraft that can make round-trip journeys, eliminating the cost of building a whole new vessel each time. "Land on Mars, a round-trip ticket — half a million dollars. It can be done," he said.
Serial entrepreneur Elon Musk says SpaceX is developing a plan for trips to Mars that will eventually cost just $500,000 per seat. Musk founded SpaceX 10 years ago and interplanetary travel has always been one of his goals for the company.

Nice job editing for spin!! What I actually wrote was "First, please explain how people are dying from starvation, dehydration, and pollution and how this in any way relates to tickets to Mars" but, hey, apparently you see what you want to see... /gasp!!! Guess you saw the personal message I sent you. About this point, you are absolutely right. I thought it was a two part question but that would be misinterpreting so I can't blame you for misinterpreting my posts then. You mentioned that you work with addicts for free out of the kindness of your heart in another post. That is very commendable ... [More]
