A Seattle-based company has revealed their latest bacon-inspired product - a bacon coffin.
In what sounds like an April Fools' Day joke but is apparantly a legitimate product, J and D Foods claim their new coffin is constructed from 18-gauge steel with a "Premium Bacon Exterior/Interior" and even has a built in bacon air freshener. "You ate bacon, you decorated your body with bacon, your car with bacon and your home with bacon. And now, you can peacefully rest wrapped in bacon," reads the press release.
Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow who founded the company have insisted that the product is genuine. "Bacon Coffins are finished with a painted Bacon and Pork shading and accented with gold stationary handles," they said.
Esch, who admitted the coffin was not made of real bacon, claims he has already sold one to someone in Iowa and is getting interest from all around the world, including funeral homes in Great Britain.
