Farmer blames "death ray" for cow deaths

Image Credit: sxc.hu Werner Bock has denied that he is maltreating his animals, instead claiming that they have been the victim of an "alien death ray" that the police are covering up. Bock claims that the animals become malnourished, lose their hair and slowly die as a result of exposure to the beam. "At least 250 head of cattle have died from what we call a death beam," he said. "Where the atmospheric air is manipulated into a death beam, focused on the noses of the animals."

Local authorities however are not convinced, charging him instead with negligence on the basis that he's failed to give the animals adequate medical attention. The trial will begin in September.
