Man finds his doppelganger in old painting

Max Galuppo got came across a painting of someone rather familiar within the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The university student had been admiring the paintings with his girlfriend Nikkie when they came across one that caught their attention. Created by an unknown artist and entitled "Portrait of a Nobleman with Dueling Gauntlet", one particular painting stood out because the individual portrayed looked absolutely identical to Max himself. After a comparison photograph was posted on Reddit the image became a hit and generated a large number of comments from internet users.Remarkably, Max himself didn't see the resemblance to begin with. "To be honest, I didn't see it. I didn't see the resemblance," he said. "And then I saw the picture of me next to it, and you can't deny that."
What started out as a leisurely stroll through the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Nov. 11 with his girlfriend, quickly turned into quite a surreal experience for Max Galuppo, 20, of Bloomsbury, N. J.
