Ape creature reported in Tunbridge Wells

Descriptions of the mysterious assailant depict it as an ape-like hominid that stands 8ft in height and sports a pair of glowing red eyes. Situated 40 miles from London and with a population of over 56,000, Royal Tunbridge Wells would seem like an unlikely place to find a new undiscovered species of bipedal ape.

This isn't the first time such reports have been made in the area either. In 1942 an elderly couple were said to have encountered something similar. "They were sitting on a bench when they became aware of a shuffling noise behind them," wrote a contributor. "Upon turning around they saw a tall, ape-like creature with eyes that were burning red moving slowly towards them. They both fled - terrified."
