Japanese man is world's oldest person

Jiroemon Kimura is officially the oldest living human being at an incredible 115 years of age.
Born in 1897, Mr. Kimura has lived through more than a century of events that include the Wright brothers' first flight, two world wars, the first human to set foot on the Moon and the invention of the Internet. Living with his family in Kyoto, Mr. Kimura attributes his extreme longevity to two things - sunlight and exercising his mind. He has 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren."I don't know exactly... maybe it's all thanks to the sun above me," he said when asked about what lifestyle choices have contributed to his long life and good health. "I am always looking up towards the sky, that is how I am."
Jiroemon Kimura, already the world's oldest man, is now the world's oldest person after Dina Manfredini of Johnston, Iowa died on December 17 at the age of 115.
