A Bigfoot encased in a block of ice that disappeared decades ago has allegedly been rediscovered.
The "Minnesota Iceman" was a popular attraction at malls and fairgrounds in the 1960s. A hairy humanoid encased in a block of ice, the enigmatic creature was celebrated by some as evidence of Bigfoot until it mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Now museum owner Steve Busti believes he had located the missing iceman and has announced his intention to put it on display from July 3rd at his Museum of the Weird in Austin, Texas.

The story goes that the creature was originally shot and killed by Frank Hansen, the man who originally exhibited it in the 1960s. In the time since it disappeared from the public eye, Hanson had managed to store the iceman at his own home until he died around 10 years ago.
In the 1960s, the "Minnesota Iceman" was paraded from mall to fairground, leaving rumors of Bigfoot, missing links and government conspiracy in its wake.

I'd kill one immeditately if I could. The great naturalist John Audubon killed millions of birds, so that science might have good examples to study of many species. The same would apply here. Shooting a bigfoot is the only real proof that would be accepted by science. And its body would provide millions of details that would otherwise be impossible to determine. Ditto! I see a Biggy, he's going down.......unless I'm unarmed.

Ditto! I see a Biggy, he's going down.......unless I'm unarmed. Better get it in one shot or you might end up unarmed, literally...

That's probably true, however I have enough confidence in my marksmanship that I'm not so worried about it. Now, having said that, I also know that I might get surprised and caught off guard, in which case I might wind up as Bigfoot"s boy toy. In which case I'll save the last round for me. I just hope the critter doesn't decide he might like me that way, but at least I'll not really know about.

Hey, one must always expect the unexpected. I seriously doubt Bigfoots practice safe sex.....or sanitary sex for that manner, so I'm going to opt out on snu-snu with the big guy.

Very cool. I just hope that the coverage points out that the Iceman is fake - something HuffPo didn't do, but that doesn't surprise me given their love of woo. Monstertalk did a great episode on the MIM and really delved into its sideshow roots - which was completely fascinating. It's a true piece of Americana and I hope that folks embrace it for that aspect of it, because frankly that's much more fascinating. Here's the link to the Monstertalk podacst. There's also a tran, but the podcast is much more enjoyable. http://www.skeptic.c...rtalk/10/12/01/ the iceman is from vietnam

Well, in Coleman's Field Guide To Bigfoot, he identifies certain Southeast Asian reports with names I can't even begin to spell, let alone pronounce, as relics of Homo erectus or relatives. Rock apes don't come up in that particular book, and I'd be inclined to liken them more to H. floresiensis than H. erectus, but either way they'd likely be early hominids. The rock ape also has something of a similarity to the orangutan, so there's that too. That is an interesting idea, that the Rock Apes are relate to the Floresiensis.

Ditto! I see a Biggy, he's going down.......unless I'm unarmed. You could try to Wrestle him down. Or jump him from behind with a bowie knife?? Since I don't carry a gun, I'll probably have to settle for my camera. I'd be sure to take hundreds of pics and videos though, and cover the ground in fine detail looking for evidence. Unlike the hikers who post on YouTube who only take 10 seconds of video, OR, 2 pics.

kinda looks like Khloe Kardashian Stop it. That's an insult to icemen everywhere. I could be wrong, but wasn't this practically a latex suit encased in a huge ice cube?

Also ask yourself if you had the body of a Bigfoot would you display it and charge a couple of $ for people to view it or claim a million dollar reward and become a household name over night then name your price for people to see or even sell it
