NASA discovers unusual pink exoplanet

Astronomers have succeeded in photographing a pink gas giant approximately 57 light years away.
The strange pink-hued world is about four times the mass of Jupiter despite being about the same size, making it the lowest mass extrasolar planet ever photographed. Another unusual aspect of the planet is that it is located over nine times further away from its parent star as Jupiter is from the Sun, a fact that seems to contradict known planet-formation theories."This is among the hardest planets to explain in a traditional planet-formation framework," said researcher Markus Janson. "Its discovery implies that we need to seriously consider alternative formation theories."
Through infrared imaging, astronomers have taken photos of a giant, magenta-hued planet orbiting its sun, 57 light-years from Earth.
