Man encounters doppelganger on plane flight

How would you react if you bumped in to someone who looked exactly like you ? Image Credit: sxc.hu
An airline passenger got the surprise of his life when he met someone who looked exactly like him.
Neil Thomas Douglas had been on his way to Galway aboard a Ryanair flight when he spotted a fellow passenger who looked rather familiar. Upon closer inspection he realized that the stranger was in fact so similar to him that the two men could have been mistaken for identical twins.

The remarkable coincidence didn't end there either as later on the two strangers bumped in to one another a further two times - once when booking in to their hotel and again at a local pub.

"Total weirdness," Douglas said of the incident. "We had a laugh and a pint."

Twice in my life I've been surely mistaken for another. Once years back probably right out of high school and once this year. The first time as a cashier in the grocery store a lady came through my line who couldn't have been happier to see me. I had a name tag in plain sight and there was no mistaking that she had seen it. Right off the bat it was all hey how are you, so nice too see you. She came off so absolute that I felt it rude to ask who the heck she was. She tells me she just moved out this way. Where I worked was a few miles and a couple of boroughs away from where I lived and went to... [More]

There are several stories from reputable sources of twins separated at birth, who were adopted into different parts of the country, who ended up looking and acting almost exactly the same, and running into each other. Then later finding out they WERE related. I wonder if either of these guys is adopted?

They look more alike in the top photo I think, the next one down not as much. Still pretty good though. could be the camera angle/the other guy on his feet to make himself look taller.

I have never seen my twin, but my best friend from many years ago did. He returned home with his girlfriend to find me standing on his porch, the thing is, it wasn't me. Her cousin had come by with a boyfriend, my supposed twin. My friend told me he accused the guy of playing games, that he was actually me. Same size, height and dressed like and sounded like me. The guy, my twin finally showed ID to prove he wasn't me. I wanted to meet him, but of course he broke up with the girlfriend and has not been heard from since. Years later I moved to the city this happened, and on several occasions wa... [More]
