Man gets his head stuck in a washing machine

The unnamed individual, who is from Fuqing City in east China's Fujian province, had decided to attempt some DIY repairs on a washing machine in his apartment after the drum broke.

Unfortunately however things didn't go quite according to plan when, having put his whole head inside the drum to identify what was wrong with it, he managed to get himself hopelessly stuck.

His friends attempted to free him by lubricating his head and neck with soap, but when that failed they ended up having to call the local fire brigade.It took a team of firefighters around half an hour to free the man from the machine which involved using cutters and a saw to remove the stainless steel housing piece by piece.

"I managed to very successfully stick my head into the machine," he said afterwards, "so I don't understand why I got stuck."

It's unlikely that he will be attempting any more washing machine repairs anytime soon.
