NASA set to announce new Mars discovery

Credit: (PD) NASA/JPL-Caltech via Wikimedia Commons The announcement, which reportedly concerns "new science results from NASA's Mars Curiosity rover", will be made during a "live discussion" at 2 pm EDT on Thursday, June 7.

Hosted by Michelle Thaller of NASA's Planetary Science Division, the event will be attended by a number of scientists who will talk about the new discovery, whatever it turns out to be.

According to NASA, the findings are "embargoed by the journal Science until then."
