Pilot of downed F-15E saw 'jellyfish' drone swarm over Iran

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident, however, are still being investigated.

Perhaps the strangest thing to have come out of this in recent weeks is the claim that the pilot of the plane witnessed something strange in the sky just prior to ejecting.

According to unnamed sources (via CNN and other outlets), the pilot had observed a swarm of Iranian drones hovering in the sky in a formation that resembled a jellyfish.Describing the spectacle as being like "real alien sh**", he said that the drones were interconnected and moved in two distinct groups, with the smaller drones moving "like legs".

This account of what went down is being investigated by the intelligence community, though there has been no formal confirmation of exactly what the pilot or weapons officer claimed to have seen.

So could this be a real account of something strange over Iran, a misrepresentation of the pilot's testimony or has the entire thing been made up ?
