How did this cat get on top of a mountain ? Image Credit: Facebook / Wojtek Jabczynski
Wojciech Jabczynski couldn't believe his eyes when he found the ginger tabby on Poland's highest peak.
The veteran mountaineer had ascended to the summit of Rysy when he came across the feline.
Despite being stranded over 8,000ft up on the top of the mountain's north-western peak, the cat seemed totally unphased and looked healthy, well-fed and unconcered with its surroundings.
Jabczynski noted that the animal had even approached him as he sat down to eat his lunch.
It isn't clear exactly how it had ended up on the mountain top.
"In my opinion, he came from a small hut for tourists under the Rysy peak on the Slovakian side of the mountain but this is just a hypothesis," said Jabczynski.
Photographs and footage of the adventurous moggy can be viewed on his
