Man freaked out by face in his washing machine

A different kind of oddity. Image Credit: Twitter / alex boardman @alxboardman The peculiar incident, which happened three days ago, saw Boardman - who later posted what happened on Twitter - load up the machine and begin the wash cycle as he normally did.

After returning to the room a little later on however, he noticed to his horror a distinct face staring back at him through the washing machine door.

On closer inspection however, he realized that there was in fact a conventional explanation.

Grabbing his camera, he took a photograph and posted it up on Twitter."Forgot I'd washed the dog's blanket and David Bowie cushion," he wrote.

"Nearly just had a heart attack."

Social media users certainly saw the funny side, with some suggesting that the late singer would have appreciated the humor and might have even used the image for the cover of one of his albums.

"Put on a hot wash, and dance the blues," another joked.
