Mother believes ghosts are visiting her baby

Who or what are the anomalous lights in this image ? Image Credit: Cheryl Scott
A woman in Scotland believes that her infant son has been visited by the ghosts of her grandparents.
When Cheryl Scott and her partner Robert checked out the footage from their son's baby monitor recently, the last thing they expected to see was a pair of anomalous objects floating next to him.

The objects, they noted, seemed to float, spin around and even turn on a light that was switched off.

"I believe in ghosts but nothing like this has ever happened before," she said. "We can watch baby monitor videos on our phone, and we looked through Saturday night's clip on Tuesday night."

"We noticed the two floating objects that had never been there before. Then all of a sudden the camera spun right round, which never happens, it's fixed facing Scott."
"It turns to face a light that we didn't switch on."

As far as an explanation is concerned, Cheryl believes that the anomalous visitors might actually be the ghosts of her deceased grandparents who had come to watch over the child.

"I'm convinced that the ghost was my gran or papa coming to visit Scott," she said. "Everyone's got their own beliefs which is fine, but I do believe in the afterlife and ghosts."

"We never thought their house was haunted but maybe it is ?"

That's not how IR cameras work. You're thinking of thermographic cameras. IR is much more like regular light (aside from the fact that we cannot see it).

Cameras like this don't move on their own and lights almost never turn on by themselves.

I think all of that has been discussed in previous posts there is nothing remarkable about the story or video .

Looks like spider webbing or a hair on the lense. They make a remote controlled baby camera. That might very well explain the movement. That's if they have one.

Hmm….and all I heard were weak attempts at explain-away.

Just because they do not fit your narrative doesn't make them weak.

Not sure what the 2 floating objects  are.   Seems  like a 'reflection' of candle light.  It could be a 'web' with dust particle stuck to it as other's have stated.  The dust particle will give it the 'orb' like look and it move at the slightest air movement.  However,  the 'light left on' is actually a reflection of the camera in a mirror.  When the camera pans to the left, it points straight at a mirrored closet.   You can actually see the 'crib' and outline of the camera itself.   The reflective IR casts a reflection that looks like a bright light.   Same thing happens when 2 IR camera's ar... This is exactly what I was coming to say.  Nothing mysterious at all.  The light is the IR camera picking up it's own light source in the mirrored closet doors, and the "floaters" as many have said are just a web or hair caught on something.  How wouldn't realize the mystery light was a reflection in a mirror is beyond me.  They should know there is no light there with the closet doors closed.
