'Very reliable' Bigfoot sighting reported in Illinois

A recent report has detailed an encounter with a large, hairy hominid near Illinois' Sangamon River.
The sighting, which was submitted in a report to the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization), occurred while the witness was driving along Route 78 in central Illinois at 10:30pm in the evening.

"I saw a large animal jump into the road about 40 yards ahead," he wrote.

"When it hit the road I could see very large legs spread wide in a dead run with large swinging hairy arms. The arms switched back and forth close to the ground as its body was leaning forward."

"It leaped across the road in two jumps. When it hit the shoulder it looked back at me."

"It was a about 2 seconds before it vanished in the darkness altogether but I could see it clearly. It was very large and even though it was hunched over nearly horizontal it still was close to being wider than my car and nearly to the top of my windshield."
The man later spoke to his co-workers who explained that the area was well known for Bigfoot sightings.

BFRO investigator Matt Moneymaker, who spoke to the witness, maintained that the sighting was "very reliable".

"He was not particularly interested in the Bigfoot subject but he recognized what he was seeing," he wrote. "He was driving 70 miles per hour and didn't slow down much until he reached the next town."

"He kept going then stopped in Havana, the next town, to text his wife and kids to say he had seen a Bigfoot cross the highway."

Whether or not it really was a Bigfoot he saw that evening, however, remains a mystery.

Though black bear are not native to Illinois. They will pass thru the state coming from Wisconsin and cross the Mississippi River into Missouri where there is a lot of forest. Illinois is mostly flat prairie farmland with  just patches of woodlands until you get to the most southern part of the state. Not good habitat for bear or bigfoot.

Thank you. The simple fact is that this is just another unreliable garbage story. An then this is added to this joke of a tale: "Now imagine bent over in dead rapid run. The swinging arms are already reminiscent just walking casually. " That is adding more rubbish to a heap of laughable garbage. Thanks again for making it clear how much trash there is to this tale

This is a poor BF report. https://www.singularfortean.com/news/2022/1/10/very-reliable-sighting-of-bigfoot-in-illinois-reported-to-bfro https://fox2now.com/news/illinois/bigfoot-in-illinois-very-reliable-sighting-near-sasquatch-hot-spot/ https://news.yahoo.com/expletive-bigfoot-alleged-sasquatch-sighting-090000828.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall Somehow the other sources have left out the bear and tracks comments. Also the lack of tracks is only used to discount the bear possibility. Definitely, a poor report.

The fact that you started this non-substantive squabble with me out of the blue today shows a deeper insecurity with me you will deny.

Says the poster with the playground pretend epistomology they cannot rationally defend, thus they must necessarily project their insecurity onto other posters.
