Snowboarder encountered 'Bigfoot' in Colorado Rockies

Who or what did the man see trudging through the snow ? (file photo) Image Credit: YouTube / CEN
A British man who had been snowboarding in the Rockies observed a mysterious bipedal creature.
The man, who hails from Northumberland, England, had been invited to Aspen, Colorado by a friend to do some snowboarding back in 2007 when the encounter occurred.

On one particular occasion he had been out in a remote part of the region at nightfall waiting for his friend to return from an errand when he spotted someone or something up ahead of him.

"At first I thought it was a bear as 'it' was big and 'it' was moving quickly," he wrote.

"Whatever I was seeing moved with a slope of a walk. I soon realized 'it' wasn't a bear. I thought 'it' looked like a big man wearing a large over coat with the collar turned up."

A sense of fear suddenly came over him as he continued watching.
"The 'individual' suddenly took a 45-degree turn to the right and walked into the snow field towards the trees," he wrote. "'It' didn't slow down, despite walking through 3 feet of snow."

"Something which would have almost stopped me dead in my tracks."

"At the time I didn't hear or smell anything. This thing was big, though, but it would be hard to gauge its exact dimensions from the distance between us."

"I had only been stopped for about a minute but it seemed like an hour standing there."

Terrified, the man took the decision to flee the scene and skidded off on his snowboard down the slope as fast as he could go, not stopping until he had reached safety.

Even today, more than ten years after the encounter, the exact nature of the figure he witnessed that night continues to remain a total mystery.

after hearing multiple reports over the years such as: "The 'individual' suddenly took a 45-degree turn to the right and walked into the snow field towards the trees," he wrote. "'It' didn't slow down, despite walking through 3 feet of snow." "Something which would have almost stopped me dead in my tracks."   I probably should have said 'continued walking' instead of 'running' (although I've heard fantastic running through snow stories too). And where did your '6' come from?

Hi Papa 6' seems to be the minimum height of reported bigfoot sightings blurry as they are.

None of which can be verified or falsified and thus useless.

Repeated reports are neither proof nor useless to me.

Yes, I understand your epistomology entertains all sorts of nonsense.

Tha's probably what your ancestors said when they first heard claims of a round earth.

No, probably not; that was knocked out by Greek science eons ago.  Unlike bigfoot science that cannot be verified, falsified nor has ever been independently replicated.

Yeah, NO.  This is my state. Between people wandering off trail all the damn time, altitude and weed (yes, I know it wasn't legal then but believe me, there is a reason we were one of the first to legalize it).  I'm guessing another snowboarder.   Nibs

Why do articles like this make it into this website? Fake news and articles that are so obviously seeking attention with no real truth need to be monitored.

Well to be fair if there were no obvious bs stories posted on here what would the true believers have to yell "theres your proof" at to us skeptics.
