Ghostly mist 'spooks cat' in new paranormal footage

Was this cat chased away by a ghost ? Image Credit: YouTube / Dogtooth Media
A homeowner has been left terrified to enter her own basement after capturing something strange on camera.
45-year-old Kathy Gallinger, who hails from Quinte West in Ontario, Canada, first moved into her home back in October 2018 and quickly began to experience unusual occurrences such as objects moving on their own and sightings of shadowy figures in the darkness.

One incident, however, has spooked her more than any other.

Keen to capture evidence of the phenomena, Kathy had set up a webcam in her basement. Sure enough, it wasn't long before she captured evidence that something strange was going on.

The footage, which can be viewed below, appears to show a dark mist emanating from her mother's old dolls and spooking her cat which seems to react to the phenomenon by running away.
The dolls themselves date back to the 1950s.

"I think my house must be haunted. I love this house," said Kathy.

"The only way we'd consider moving was if it became violent or if anything was to harm any of us, of course. But as it stands right now, other than a few things moving and just scaring the life out of us, we've become used to it really."

So does this footage represent genuine evidence of the paranormal or is something else going on ?

You decide.

If that cat was really spooked to would of legged it much faster than the cat in the video, and wouldnt stopped or slowed down, that close.

That "ghostly mist" was nothing but a doll fart and no sane cat wants to smell one of those.

This person obviously collects haunted dolls. The aerosol can and laser pointer theory is pretty dumb. It wasn't dust in the shot as someone posted, it was a moth. Cats do freak out for no reason and it could simply be that the person caught the cat doing so and opportunistically added the blur coming off the doll. Or it could be something extra-natural.

I'm guessing those dolls (especially the one in the glass cabinet with cross on top) are supposed to be haunted dolls? If that's the case then why is the mum freaked out and scared..? From what I gathered, a small mist "effect" was probably triggered from between the two dolls that apparently freaked out the cat. I don't believe it's anything paranormal here.
