Creepy footage has emerged showing an eerie figure standing at the side of a stretch of open highway in the dark.
According to reports, William Church had been driving along State Route 87 at around 2:30 a.m. on March 11th when he spotted a strange transparent figure standing at the side of the road.

The location, which was a few miles between Phoenix and Payson, was otherwise deserted with no other cars around and no reason for anyone to be walking there in the middle of the night.

"[The figure was] just standing in the roadway as I passed by looks like you can see the lines through the legs," the driver recalled.
The truck's dashcam even managed to capture footage of the figure, thus proving that there was definitely something there that night and it wasn't just the driver's imagination.

This particular stretch of road has seen more than its fair share of fatal car accidents over the years and some locals have come to believe that it is haunted.

So could this video be evidence of something paranormal or was the ghostly figure just a regular person who happened to be walking along the road at the time ?

You can check out the footage for yourself below.

Guys...I'm almost certain the video just shows a person standing on the road. Nothing to do with a reflection from the sign nor a ghost. The object is clearly physical as seen in 0:26 where the right mirror obscures the object, furthermore the object can be seen reflected off the hood of the truck. The truck headlights are pointed slightly downwards to illuminate the road which is why we can see more of the person as the truck approaches them, notice how their upper half is lit up around 0:26 right before and after the right mirror obsures the person. The person appears transparent or blurry s... [More]

We should not forget the fact that the trucker saw this with his naked eyes too and was startled enough to review the camera later. I doubt a trucker would have been so startled by a regular person under apparently rather normal conditions.

Video footage is often way more reliable than eyewitness testimony, especially in these types of cases where we can deduce what happened from the video. Humans are notorious for misidentifying things, misremebering things, exaggerating, and lying. After reviewing the video we can see that most likely it was just a person standing.

Well, I am going to argue that the truck driver noticing something startling along with this camera capture increases the paranormal possibility. The fact that there are two independent events suggesting the paranormal is a factor worthy of inclusion in the consideration.

The video doesn't suggest anything paranormal as I've explained. Also, video evidence carries more weight than the truck driver in this case. That's why insurance companies, police, judges, etc value available video footage over he said she said they said. The two events differ heavily in their reliability so your argument is flawed.

Well, this one has been fun.  My first impression from the still was that the windshield needed cleaning.  Watching the video, it became clear that this wasn't the case, so I watched some more.  Read all of the comments, and weighed those against what I was seeing, and came to a conclusion.  After watching the first but at normal speed, I slowed it down to .25 the normal speed, to see if anything would show more clearly.  I decided fairly quickly that it wasn't a reflection.  To be fair, though, I got my husband to watch, as he did drive a truck long haul for a time.  He said a refle... So you have been out on the road for long weeks at a time not coming home for weeks, because your a truck driver. Being in a car doesnt mean you have all the answers. Being a passenger in a car as your life is nothing when compared to truck drivers who are away from home weeks at a time, probably less then 1/4 to 1/2 of the year do they spend at home. You are coming across as VERY VERY aggressive. So must so it comes across as ,"I used to blieve and now I dont. Now since I dont HOW DARE they believe." You dont have to believe and can still give your view and that you dont believe and what you ... [More]
