Driver encounters large exotic cat in Welsh village

It seems that there really are large cats wild in the UK. Image Credit: Pixabay / realworkhard
The animal, which was standing at the side of the road, closely resembled a lynx or other species of wild cat.
Last month we reported on the discovery of DNA evidence suggesting that a population of large predatory cats was indeed roaming unchecked across the British countryside.

Now one Welsh resident - 22-year-old Morgan Taylor - may have actually captured one on video.

He had been making a delivery to the village of Rassau in Blaenau Gwent, Wales when he spotted a strange looking feline standing on the grass next to some bushes at the side of the road.

"I was driving back home and I'd seen something in the bushes that looked a bit irregular," he said.
"So I slowed down in my car - my windows were down at this point - and as it approached out of the bushes, I put my windows straight up."

"At first, I thought it was a leopard. I can't lie. It was massive."

"It was about a meter and a half, maybe two meters at a push - it was a very, very big cat."

The footage (which can be viewed - here) does indeed show a large cat - most likely a lynx.

"I was petrified; that's the only word I can tell you," said Taylor. "I felt like I'd seen a ghost."

Looks like a lynx cat.

It definitely looks like an ‘exotic’ cat, but it behaves likes a household pet. Feral cats flee into hiding when they see an approaching car or human.  And it appears to be too well-fed to be feral.

Looks and behaves like a domestic cat. Also it doesn't have a tail. Probably a Manx cat or some other no tail breed.

Breeded exotic cat like a Highland Lynx or Highland cat most probably... It's clearly not 2m long, lol, maybe 1m   https://www.rareexoticfelineregistry.com/highland-lynx/
