The most recent Loch Ness Monster sighting of the year comes courtesy of Sash Lake from Wiltshire, England.
The peak of tourist season may be far behind now, but that hasn't stopped sighting reports of the iconic monster being submitted to the Official Loch Ness Sightings Register.

The latest entry, which concerns a sighting that occurred on October 7th, was reported by Sash Lake who had been traveling by coach from Drumnadrochit when he spotted something in the water.

It was around 12:20pm and the rain and mist had rolled in, partially obscuring his view.

"Something caught my eye for approximately five seconds and made me jump out of my skin, I saw a huge black mass/ hump in the middle of the Loch, roughly the size of a double decker bus," he said.
"I would say it was around 75-100 yards away from me. I was confused, and in disbelief."

"I jumped to my feet to get a better look, trees completely blocked my view for about 5-8 seconds, there was a clearing in the trees, and when I looked back to where I saw the black mass/ hump, there was nothing there."

Given the poor weather conditions and the trees obscuring his view, it is difficult to know if he really did see something unusual in the water or if his eyes were simply playing tricks on him.

We also don't know if anyone else on the coach saw the same thing.

Whatever the case, though, it is certainly an interesting sighting.

"Witness reports seeing 'huge black mass' in the waters of Loch Ness"  Well of course they did. Also, that's racist.

Keep those eyes peeled!  And patronize the local establishments while you finish off the bottle of 40-year Dalmore.

''It was around 12:20pm and the rain and mist had rolled in'' So they got some gust of wind with the storm creating some kind of gale and sudden waves ?
