Large, mysterious 'creature' picked up on sonar in Loch Ness

A veteran Loch Ness skipper and his colleague recently picked up something very strange on sonar.
Could there be something large lurking in the depths of Scotland's most voluminous loch ? The crew of a Loch Ness cruise vessel certainly seem to think so and they even have evidence to back it up.

During a recent trip across the loch, Shaun Sloggie and Liam McKenzie of Cruise Loch Ness managed to pick up evidence of something large moving deep beneath them.

Described by Sloggie as the biggest thing he'd ever seen, the object - whatever it was - seemed to be situated approximately 100 meters beneath the surface of the water.

"The strangeness of it was chilling - it's the sort of thing that leaves you speechless," he said.
"We've seen all sorts of fish that shouldn't be here, but this? This was different. We're not sonar experts, but I've never seen anything like it."

The pair returned to the same location in an effort to pick up the same thing again, but found nothing.

So could they have found evidence of the Loch Ness Monster ?

You can check out the sonar image in the embedded Tweet below.

Sonar picked up something in Loch Ness in the 1970s, but nothing came out of that either.

Sure, there is a hypotes the Loch Ness monster is ancient sea turtle 'traped' in a lake. One interesting thing is that the Loch Ness is actually connected to the ocean by the river Ness, and it's only a few miles to the ocean. Seals have been spotted in the Loch on multiple occasions.

Quite a few miles and in many parts the Ness is quite shallow (but fast flowing).    No sea turtle would swim up it (why would they)?   Also far too cold for them and nothing for them to eat.    As for the sonar - could be anything.

I do hope that if a large unknown animal is discovered that we humans don't go and murder it like we are accustomed to doing.

This sonar picture is of something a quite large.  There is also a theory(not mine) the Loch Ness is connected to a ocean by the system of underwater chanels and underwater caves. And, the banking shark, which are a quite common in the northern ocean, sometimes wander into the Loch Ness looking for a food/fish. The banking sharks swim and liv at considerable water depths, and it is rare case to see them at the surface.

I think you mean basking shark?    But leaving aside the impossibility of such underwater tunnels (due to the geology) why would they swim into a freshwater loch in search of plankton?

Yes, of course. The basking shark. It is auto-text on my phone who chooses and change my written words without me even noticing it. Sorry.

It is either a something or a nothing. I dismiss the superposition of both possibilities. In my opinion it is either/or. Either the cat is dead or it is not dead. Both cats have fur, but only the live one will purr.

But what if it's a sphynx cat?

Yeah, because humans murder everything everywhere.?
