Some people have resorted to using some rather unorthodox methods in an attempt to sway the election results.
With the US election just a week away now, both sides are working hard to sway over voters, whether that be through holding rallies, launching advertising campaigns or giving interviews.

Others, meanwhile, have been attempting to employ rather more unusual tactics.

It is perhaps no secret that witchcraft has been gaining in popularity in the United States in recent years, with many thousands of people across the country describing themselves as practicing witches.

Incredibly, many of these have actually been trying to influence politics through spells, hexes and other occult means - something that has likely been going on for decades.

In recent weeks, for instance, a group of some 100 witches with tens of thousands of followers has reportedly been gathering online to cast spells and hexes designed to stop Donald Trump from returning to the White House.
Similar efforts have been occurring for years, but there have also been reports of traditional spells and incantations proving ineffective against the 78-year-old.

"He has a shield, a flimsy one of course, but a shield nonetheless (I am trying to figure out a way to create spells that can bypass that, but it's difficult)," one witch wrote, according to ABC News.

"I hate to say this, but don't do magic against him," said another.

"He has a form of protection surrounding him that feeds off of magic done against him. You will have better results if you focus your magic on helping his opponent or protecting yourself and others."

Whether or not you happen to believe that witchcraft is even a real thing, such beliefs continue to endure and it seems that they are only becoming more popular as time goes on.

It remains very unlikely, however, that spells and hexes are going to win or lose next week's vote.
