Details of exactly what the US Air Force has been hiding at Area 51 could be revealed in the very near future.
Situated around 83 miles north-west of Las Vegas in the Nevada desert, Area 51 is the world's most famous 'secret' base - a place that has become synonymous over the years with stories of reverse-engineered alien technology and UFO-related black projects.

It wasn't until 2013 when declassified CIA files were published that the US Air Force officially acknowledged that Area 51, which is part of the Nevada Test and Training Range, even existed at all.

Even today, exactly what goes on there remains shrouded in secrecy.

But there is hope that we could soon learn a whole lot more about this enigmatic facility.

Recently, an interview from 1999 resurfaced in which aviation journalist Jim Goodall spoke about meeting with various individuals who claimed to have worked at Area 51.

One of these offered him a tantalizing piece of information about potential future disclosure.

"One gentleman spent 12 of his 30 years in black programs at Groom Lake," said Goodall.
"I asked him, I said, can you really tell me what's happening out there? And he said, well, there's a lot of things that are going on there that I won't be able to tell you until the year 2025."

"But we have things in the Nevada desert that would make George Lucas envious."

With 2025 just around the corner, could we be about to gain access to new declassified material that could lift the lid on exactly what has been going on at Area 51 ?

Some have speculated that this could be a reference to an 'automatic declassification' bill established in 1999 by President Bill Clinton that discloses government secrets after 25 years.

If so, we may see a whole treasure trove of newly declassified documents in the very near future.

You can check out the original 1999 interview below.

What has been occurring around Area 51 may be more disturbing than extraterrestrials.  This area is the base for nuclear bomb testing.  828 bombs have been blasted underground, and 100 in open air.  Underground nukes are interesting, because they have both creative and destructive qualities.  They can be used to blow out massive areas for underground construction, or they can be used as weapons which create vacuums to displace large amounts of air underground1.  Fallout from these tests have also sickened many of the people who live surrounding the area, and were originally told the atomi...
