'My wife turns into a snake at night' man claims in bizarre domestic dispute

The utterly bizarre claim was reported by her husband, Miraj, who told officials about the issue during a day typically designated to bringing local problems to the District Magistrate.

"My wife, Nasimun, is mentally unstable and spends the nights pretending to be a nagin, hissing and scaring me," he said.

"My wife tries to kill me every night. My life was saved because I woke up at that time. My wife is mentally torturing me. She is more likely to kill me when I am sleeping. She has bitten me once."As always, however, it is helpful to get both sides of the story, as according to his wife, he had been making up stories about her because he wants to marry someone else.

"He constantly harassed me for dowry," she said. "I am four months pregnant. But my husband does not pay any attention to my medical or food expenses."

According to reports, the couple - who only married a few months ago - had been getting on fine together until very recently when the 'snake' activity allegedly started up.

The husband is now seeking out the services of a 'sorcerer' in an effort to resolve the issue.
