Authorities in the Mediterranean have been investigating and de-arming the explosive-laden attack drone.
The drone boat, which was brought to the attention of police officers after it was discovered by a fisherman in a cave on the Ionian island of Lefkada, has been the subject of an ongoing mystery this week.
Believed to be Ukrainian, the unmanned surface vehicle - also known as a MAGURA V3-type sea drone - was brimming with explosives and was thought to be equipped with three detonators.
It remains unclear exactly where it had come from, what its intended mission was or how it had come to end up stranded in a cave in the Ionian Sea.
One possibility is that it had suffered a navigational failure and had drifted far off course.
It may have also been part of efforts to target Russian vessels carrying oil into the Mediterranean.
Efforts are now underway to disarm the drone and to ensure that it poses no further risk.
With many questions still remaining about its origin and purpose, however, it is likely that this is one mystery that local authorities will be particularly keen to solve.

TBH everyone knows the Ukrainians have a 200 member sabotage unit in Libya. Their job is disrupt and destroy Putin’s oil exports to Europe. The drone was found by fishermen. For all we know the Greek government was colluding with anti Russian elements
