Authorities attended the scene after a weird red substance was spotted leaking from a large semi-truck.
Something hot was flooding the highway north of Columbus, Ohio recently but it is probably not what you think.

According to reports, the local fire department was called out on Tuesday to attend the scene of a large truck that had started leaking a strange red substance onto Interstate 71.

At first, it wasn't obvious what the substance actually was.
Upon further investigation, however, it turned out that the truck had actually been hauling a huge load of around 40,000 lbs. of 'Frank's Red Hot' hot sauce.

The sauce was so acidic that authorities were left concerned over the environmental impact of the spill.

Ultimately, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency was called out to try to contain it.

Exactly how the spill happened in the first place remains unclear.
