Why only steal the right-footed shoes ? Image Credit: Instagram / solebroscincy
The culprits seemingly broke into the store and spent time removing only the right-footed shoes from the boxes.
Hunter Emigh - owner of Sole Bros 513 in Cincinnati, Ohio - got quite the shock when he discovered that someone had broken into his store on October 8th.
He got even more of a shock, however, when he found out exactly what had been stolen.
Upon reviewing CCTV footage, he discovered that the thieves had spent a considerable amount of time painstakingly opening dozens of shoeboxes and taking out only the right-footed shoes while leaving the left-footed shoes alone.
Stills from the footage show the huge pile of boxes that had been left strewn across the floor - many belonging to expensive brands.
But why on Earth would the thieves have only taken one shoe from each box ?
The CCTV cameras did at least pick up the culprits - a man in a red hoodie, a man in a dark-colored outfit and also possibly a woman wearing glasses and carrying a white bag.
In addition to 100 right-footed shoes, the thieves made off with clothing and a number of other items.
Efforts to track down and catch those responsible remain ongoing.
