Image Credit: Louis Janmot Two weeks ago I was laying on my settee watching a Bee Gees concert I had recorded when suddenly this severe feeling of loss came over me about the death of my mother, it wasn't just sadness but a feeling as if I had just been told that my mother had passed. It upset me so much that I was still having this feeling the next day. My mother passed 15 years ago. The following night my daughter visited me and when she was leaving she told me about a dream she had that night that was so upsetting she awoke from the dream crying. She was in a room and someone told her her gran was there. My mother's name was Annie but everyone called her Nan. The person told my daughter that your Nan is here so my daughter did not relate to this as she called her Gran. My mother then wrote on a piece of paper the name Nan in blue biro - my daughter says this was definitely her gran's handwriting.

The only thing her gran said in the dream was that she was always looking over her mum (me) and my daughter. We were both very upset on discovering that we both had the same extreme feelings of loss after 15 years. Can anyone help in trying to interpret this ? It wasn't my mother's birthday, anniversary of death etc - just simply out of the blue. The loss that swept over me that night I have never felt before, it was as if I had just been told of my mother's passing.
