UFO filmed hovering over New York

Footage has emerged of a strange object which allegedly hovered in the sky for around three minutes.
The controversial clip, which was uploaded on to YouTube by user Von Edgar-Land, was recorded last Wednesday over New York and shows a peculiar metallic object with jagged edges that doesn't seem to resemble any known aircraft.

According to the video uploader, the object sat stationary in the sky for several minutes while emitting a loud noise that he claimed had disturbed a flock of nearby birds, causing them to fly away.
Controversially however the video itself lasts only 15 seconds because the man's iPhone had allegedly shut down on its own due to an overheating issue that he was unable to explain.

The footage has been met with an understandable degree of skepticism since appearing online with critics arguing that it could easily be a hoax, especially given how short the recording is.

There have also been suggestions that the object could be some sort of aerial camera drone.

Threads that are controversial have many pages and comments. A few months ago I started a non-controversial thread on "What was your first car". I only got 2 pages. That's because people can't tell you you're wrong and stroke their inter-web egos in those threads.

Exactly, one or even 2 guys looking at the sky and filming it, would make MOST people look in the same direction. We all do it. We're nosey! Plus lots of us have cam phones and theres only one dodgy clip, yet New York is packed with people Hey seeder, What you are saying sounds intuitive, however im reminded of 9/11 where I don't think there was any footage of the first plane hitting the first tower and only a few clips of the second impact even though hundreds of thousands of people were watching the twin towers after the first impact. Also, and I don't have a link, there was a poll several y... [More]
