Meditation increases brain gray matter

New research conducted at the University of California has revealed that regular meditation could help build a bigger brain, with some regions of the brain being larger in long-term meditators than in those who do not.
Push-ups, crunches, gyms, personal trainers -- people have many strategies for building bigger muscles and stronger bones. But what can one do to build a bigger brain? Meditate. That's the finding from a group of researchers at UCLA who used high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to scan the brains of people who meditate. "

This has been known for a long time. People who do crossword puzzles or other creative activities such as art, have a much lower chance of dementia, such as alzheimers, in old age. The brain is capable of repairing itself and growing new tissue at any time. The more it is stimulated the better it develops. This is true right from the cradle to the grave.

hmmmm i think its the meditation itself is the key not the gray matter that they are in... if we come into this gray matter their will be another questioning again which in turn separate us to meditation itself. well its their business hehe I'm just thinking about it.....

Except it is not say meditation makes you more intelligent, this is say it just helps you cope with stress better. The title is rather misleading.
