An amateur astronomer in England has captured a photograph of what he believes to be a UFO, he spotted the red glowing object hovering 1000ft up in the night sky where it stayed for over an hour before shooting off in to the distance.
A Brit amateur astronomer has managed to photograph what he claims to be a UFO hovering over Devon. Lee Betts, 29, spotted the glowing red shape hovering 1,000ft up in the night sky from his bedroom window, and then moving across the sky for more than an hour on September 21 before shooting off into the distance.

It used to be that they posted the pics with the article, but now people seem to try to stir up a fervor first. So, they can get more $ for the pics perhaps? The pic looks like the Millenium Falcon taking off and flying away.

Are you pulling my leg? That's gotta be the sun behind clouds. It does very much look like that. It's not because the witness calls himself an "amateur astronomer" that we should let go of our critical judgment. I suspect he photographed the sun peeking behind some dark clouds and thought the contour looked like a typical "flying saucer"... So, why not say it is one and sell the picture to the local paper ? Take a good look at the picture once it's brightened up. You can see the sun's rays peeking out.

Just out of curiosity wouldn't someone in brittain refer to the size of the object in meters and not feet? Hate to disappoint you, but you guys borrowed imperial measurements from us (The clue is in the system title Our European overlords might like to think they are winning the battle to force metric units on us but we are still holding out

Hate to disappoint you, but you guys borrowed imperial measurements from us (The clue is in the system title Our European overlords might like to think they are winning the battle to force metric units on us but we are still holding out I use metres at work becuase this is the EU standard but I think in miles, feet, and inches. I don't think the French and Germans can handle fractions. Good Europeans use French metric units. I am not a good European(come on Ireland, vote NO! again). At least the Irish Govt is giving their people a referendum... As for the pic......I can't see what all the fuss... [More]
