A British astronomer has warned that contact with an advanced extraterrestrial race may not necessarily be friendly.
Hollywood has long portrayed both friendly and hostile encounters with extraterrestrials but in reality while it would seem unlikely that an alien race would come all the way to Earth just to start a fight the possibility cannot be ruled out.
Scientists searching for alien life should get governments and the UN involved lest we unwittingly contact hostile extraterrestrials, a British astronomer has warned.

Well, if you want to get nitty gritty, it will be a PLC in most cases or a programmed BMS that operates the circuit boards that signal telemetry to the field devices, which would be my preferred term for components in that instance. I am glad you use a Voltstick, have you never heard of test lamps? Quite possible I suppose, I am "old school" but any voltage detecting device is great, voltmeter, voltstick, wiggies, test lamps, anything that gives a reasonable indication of power. As I said I have lost colleagues to complacency, as such I would hope your technicians do not stick their fingers in... [More]

Well first off I should mention that a load in the US is a device that uses voltage. A switch is a device that does not use up any voltage, it just uses it as a means to get to the next phase. The whole point of me mentioning the ladder example in my last post, is to say I heard the gas valve clicking in, therefore using my sense of hearing. However, this has nothing to do with aliens or extra terrestrials, I'm just merely pointing out that I can use my own senses to come to a common sense conclusion. This is not to say that I'm right about UFO, but it does point out that simple human common s... [More]

Hrrmzz, we have established the nomenclature, we are speaking across seas, it is irrelevant. You mechy guys call all electrical by wrong terms anyways (joke) I don't know if this is worth continuing, you seem unable to see the forest for the trees. Perhaps this example will illustrate my intention. The checkout chick you bought your milk and bread from last week, she can put her synapses to their limits on the same fault, and never find it. She would likely kill herself in the process. Guess what - she is human too. To her it is not a relay, it is a clicky thing. Vice Versa, she will have skil... [More]

Yes, we all have "humanity". However, training doesn't prepare one to shoot like Kobe. The checkout chick can train all she wants, but there's simply no human that can stack up (respectively). No, I'm not comparing myself to Kobe lol. I don't think I'm more brilliant than the checkout chick because as you said, theres endless combinations of brilliance. We all, in my belief, are brilliant in our own right if we tap into the right well. Well said. I would only disagree and say that you are like Kobe in that both of you have trained to act correctly without thinking in your niche in life. Kobe t... [More]
