Scientists in Germany have developed a new device that can literally sniff out explosives in the search for terrorists.
The artificial nose is adept at detecting certain explosive compounds and could in the future be installed in airports, bus terminals and other public transport hubs in an effort to help authorities track down terrorists.
German scientists have come up with a system that can sniff out terrorists by capturing the smell of explosives. The artificial nose promises to make it much easier to detect the explosive triacetone triperoxide, reports New Scientist.
