A prehistoric amphibian's fossilized skull found near Pittsburgh International Airport has been named after FedEx.
The unusual choice of name 'Fedexia striegeli' was decided upon by the student who found the fossil because the land it was discovered on belonged to FedEx.
Paleontologists at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History named the trematopid Fedexia striegeli after the company, which owns the land on which it was found, and the University of Pittsburgh student who found it.
